2. Few entity names have been renamed. To receive an error for Report generation execution (when retry is ticked): you can use following entities and views:
- Schedule Report – Retry Status | View: Report Failures – Past 24 Hours
- Trigger Report Multiple – Retry Status | View: Report Failures – Past 24 Hours
- Trigger Word Template – Retry Status | View: Report Failures – Past 24 Hours
You can schedule the above views to run on daily basis (and send email only if any record found)… so if any report execution fails then you will receive the information in email.

This feature is available for functionalities: Schedule Report, Schedule Report Multiple, Schedule Excel Template
For existing customers who want to enable this feature:
1. Browse to Zap RS Authentication page… and enter “Directory (tenant) ID”. Now click button “Test Teams Connection.
2. Within Zap RS Scheduled record… in tab “Teams Settings”… select the teams channel to which the link needs to be posted.
Known Issue:
We have observed that sometimes (1% chance) the posting of download link to teams channel is failing.
The error message is: Unauthorized – Additional claims required.
Our team is presently looking in to this issue.

Automatic Retry for Report Generation using “Schedule Report” option: If due to any reason (eg report server busy), report generation fails… then we provide the option to retry report execution again after 1 minute… and then again if it fails then after 10 minutes. This retry mechanism would guarantee 99.99% delivery. (for instructions, refer KB article)
2. Run Now feature: This allows you to run the scheduled report immediately (without affecting the current report schedule that you may have configured). “Run Now” button has been added in the “Scheduled Report” view… as well as the form.

1. Automatic Retry for Document Generation using Word Template: We have observed that sometimes document generation from Word Template using Workflow fails. This can be due to unavailability of Dynamics 365 resources. Since we do not have any control over such failure scenarios, our team has built a fail-safe retry mechanism. If this feature is enabled, and if a failure occurs in generating the document then automatically a second try would be done after 1 minute and if that too fails then another try after 10 minutes. In our automated testing of system, we have found 99.99% success rate after implementing this mechanism!
